This is Day 4 of my 21-day Cleanse. I've managed to stay on diet, but have had moments of wanting excluded foods. I have had difficulty in looking ahead of my busy schedule and bringing the foods/juice/shake that I will need. So I had 2 days of long hours of not eating or drinking because of a busy schedule. I'm getting better at looking ahead and preparing better.
Hoorey! At the end of the 2nd day of cleanse, I discovered that the constant nose drip I had was no longer part of my symptoms. It has drastically slowed down, and seems to be almost gone.
I've had only one night of good sleep. I seem to always awaken after 5 or 6 hours of sleep and have difficulty falling back to sleep. I am trying to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep /night. I do awaken at 4:30 or 5:00 during the week, and awaken at 5:30 on weekends. Any suggestions?

Wow. So glad for this post. I had a really hard time falling to sleep last night. Tossed for 2 hours. Relented and got up to take magnesium for calmness. Woke up before my alarm and am not tired at all. Day Four of the cleanse for me. Thanks, Dr. Junger!
Thank you for posting this! I have been waking up between 3-4am with a lot of energy and unable to fall back to sleep--I am in week one, despite waking up early I have been productive at work and able to focus. So relieved that I'm not the only one and this is somewhat normal in the first weeks of detox.
I have been doing ED for the past 8 months and now I am experiencing these symptoms. I lost a lot of weight (33lbs) thanks to detox/ED and I recommend this wonderful and healthy diet to everyone (except the ones considered to be SPENT... ;-) )
Thank you so much for this video! Just what I needed. Am almost ending week 1 and have been waking up at 4am lately, not being able to sleep after. Guess I'll put that time to use getting on that cross trainer for some exercise!
Timely video, thank you! I was up until 2 last night, slept for 5 hours. I've been up & fairly productive all day & am still not tired, which is surprising. Day 22 (7 day ED + about 2 weeks of clean).
